How to sell a private dance lesson

Recently, I told how the coach to make a schedule: how to fill 8 working hours, find students for the day and morning.

The schedule should be filled with group and individual lessons. But just like that, people rarely sign up for a personal lesson. An exception is a wedding dance due to the specifics of the direction. But the question is: how to recruit more students for individual lessons.

Do students need private lessons?

To begin with, you should ask yourself the question: why should a client take lessons from you? Why should he pay additional, and considerable, money?

Values for the student

You will always be provided with demand for classes if

  1. You understand the value of your lessons.
  2. You can explain this value to the client.
  3. This value coincides with the desire of the client.

For example, as a benefit of personal training, you can offer:

  • Maximum attention to the student and work on an individually designed program.
  • Opportunity to dance with a coach.
  • Develop hidden opportunities, overcome internal barriers.
  • Improve results, take a more prestigious place in the competition.
  • Get a diploma, certificate of completion of the course.

The list is endless, because there are a lot of clients' desires. The bottom line is that the desires of the student coincide with your capabilities.

At first glance, this may seem simple and obvious. But if that were true, everyone would be successful. And for some reason this is not true.

Bringing a client to individual lessons takes a little more time, requires more work than bringing him to group lessons. To enter personal lessons, you need to communicate with the client, and achieve results from these conversations.
