Briefly about how to keep students and make them permanent. There are several simple and very effective ways.
1. Offer private lessons
If the student is far behind the group, offer him individual lessons. It often happens that a student cannot take a prostitute, because there is no money. You can offer an alternative - classes with 2-3 students.
2. Suggest another level
Transfer to another group with the appropriate level. If a student masters the basics faster than others, he has the potential to work with stronger partners, you should not hesitate. But provided that individual lessons remain.
3. Suggest an age group
Transfer to a different age group. This is also a matter of level and physical development. It happens that a five-year-old child may well be engaged with schoolchildren. Or, on the contrary, a seven-year-old child needs to stay with five-year-old children at least for a while in order to master and consolidate the base.
4. Change goals
Transfer to a group with other goals. Perhaps, after an unsuccessful participation in the competition, the student “broke down”. It is important then to transfer him to a group where there is no goal to participate in competitions. For example, where performances for the show are being prepared.
These recommendations may seem obvious. But, unfortunately, not all teachers comply with them. If 20% of your clients do not stay with you for more than three months, this is a reason to think. In this case, I recommend re-reading the four points of this post and considering whether you have formed the groups correctly.
